The inside heater box on my 63 car has the number "HD 06 63B" stamped on the side. Anyone know what the number stands for; date, part number or ?. Car was built Jan, 1963, thanks

This is from three I've restored.
HD 06 63B - Inside Stamp NOV2362NC400
HD 06 63B - Inside Stamp APR163NC309 (out of my April 20th car)
HD 06A 63B - Inside Stamp APR2963NC309 (this one had the new mechanism to open and close the flappers, same as 64 to 67)

My car was built Jan 28th, 1963. How could it have a Feb dated box. As far as I know there were only 2 design boxes. Mine is the first design with the old mechanism to open flappers. Did the guy stamping boxes make a mistake or does the 63B stand for something else. When I removed box I could tell it had never been removed so replacing box with a Feb box did not happen.- Top

Harrison dated almost everything with pad-painted ink stamps, as shown in Harry's photo; the date you noted was stamped in the steel forward cover facing the interior firewall. Photo shows one from '64.
