C1 Pitman / 3rd Arm Ball Inspection and Measurement

I am assembling the front suspension and am trying to evaluate the ball on the 3rd arm and the pitman arm. I have been looking through the ST-12 and the shop manuals and have not found any measurement specs. The 3rd arm ball measures between .966 and .986 dia and the pitman between .975 and .989 dia.
I would appreciate any input on this or inspection specs.
    thanks,

Are they pitted? If not I would not concern myself with dimensions. unless you plan on doing a lot of heavy road racing there isn't much pressure or friction on them. They ride in grease. Just curious as to why you are worried about specs?

      Hi Terry,
Just wanting to cover all bases before I put it back together. I had seen a few messages from those that were replacing them but no reference as to why, all I could figure is they were out of spec but pitting sure makes sense.

Mine are not pitted and look to be in good shape. The one attached to the third arm has a little wear to the post that you will see in the picture that must have been caused by the drag link but I am sure I can clean that up.

Now I need to make a third arm bearing pulled. Always something!

      thanks, Eric
