Question for John H or other about numbers hand written on body parts

Is it possible that the body number that is on the trim tag is hand written on parts that go on the body? I find large numbers under the car near the tank and other places like the doors and firewall.

you should be finding the job number on the doors, behind the dash, on the bulk head in front of the gas tank, and on the engine side of the firewall under the heater box. that number is what written on the tank sticker

I thought the trim tag body number and the daily 'job number' written in crayon on various body parts weres different.
The daily job numbers were from 1 to 500 for individual cars on any given day. My SWC has 334 written on the doors, splash shield and other places but its "body number" on the trim tag is: 8466
