    67 Sending Unit

If a fuel gauge is reading full correctly, but won't read below 2/3 of a tank (and the sending unit arm does move the full range of length) would I be correct in thinking that the problem is in the sending unit and not the gauge? IF it's the sending unit (it's the original) would it be salvageble?

    Mark,

John Wolf is recommended by many for restoring sending units: http://johnwolfco.com I had them do mine; not installed yet to assess function, but the judgeable portion looks correct and I trust it will work properly.

This is an article written by John Hinckley telling how to troubleshoot the fuel gauge system. Try this BEFORE you rip into things...it will probably save some headaches
