Would the attached photo of a 691 PCV be correct for my restoration of a 67 L36 with AC? I have read in the technical discussions about machined vs stamped metal, etc. This is stamped metal, but the tab on the box is dated in 1966. Thanks for the help!

Re: 691 PCV correct for L36 with AC?
John,
I once owned a machined "CV691" PVC valve that I removed from a 1965 Chevrolet w/396 engine in a salvage yard back in the 1980's. Both the "CV691" machined PCV valve and the stamped steel "CV691C" PCV valve carry the same GM part number, 6421981. The letter "C" designates constant velocity. I also once owned two NOS "CV691C" stamped steel PCV valves in boxes dated 1967 and 1968 ("8-67-5" and "1-68-6" on flaps). It is my belief that machined "CV691" PCV valves were used on 1965 and possibly on early 1966 models but I have no specific evidence.
