What color should carpet be in a 1970 Light Saddle deluxe interior (cut pile)?
The first photo shows a new Al Knoch door panel with its attached new carpet. For comparison, the top of the photo shows my old, darker carpet (not factory original). The Al Knoch carpet is close in color to the vinyl; my older carpet is significantly darker.
The second photo is a car for sale I found on the internet with Light Saddle deluxe interior. Note how dark the carpet is compared to the vinyl and seats.
The Al Knoch carpet is close in color to the vinyl, while my old carpet and the carpet in the second photo is significantly darker.
Don't compare the colors between photos; there's quite a bit of color shift. Rather compare the relative darkness of the vinyl and carpet in each photo.
