    '67 A/C Ducts

Does anyone have an idea on how to restore the black plastic A/C ducts. I know soap and water will take care of the dirt and grime but would like to make the black plastic look new again. They have had abuse from being kicked from getting in and out of the car.
    Thanks as always.

Gary, have you tried any light duty polishing compound or the plastic lens cleaner used for headlights?

      Gary,

I agree with Edward . I used the Meguiar's Swirl Remover that is made for rear hard top plexiglass and soft top window.

They came out looking much nearer the insides. I just hope that isn't over restored also !

        Gary,
I was going to use a 2 part poly paint to see how it would look and flow on the part of the duct that the chrome ball was in and I decided to spray the plastic surface first with reducer to prep the plastic. When I did, the plastic softened and took a shine that made it look new. I watched it for a few days and it stayed that way and the plastic was as hard as it was when it started. I did use some 600 sand paper to remove a few scratches followed by 2500 grit. The reducer was either laquer thinner or the poly reducer.
