Where on the intake was it leaking? Why do you say it was so difficult to find?
It was coming from the front of the right side intake gasket... It was channeling down by the timing cover/water pump area so you really couldn't tell where it was coming from... I originally thought that is was seeping from the right head... As mentioned by others, we cleaned the area really well and put some dye in the oil along with a black light and it showed up pdq were the leak was... I like John's idea of the baby powder and/or talc too... Would have probably gotten to the problem sooner using that type of methodology...

Let us know what your issue was when you find your leak...

We had a similar issue as Richard mentioned above with a friend's L79/350hp '67. He had over-torqued the aluminum intake manifold's bolts to the extent that the right front tab actually cracked and fluid ran down to the swing arm. I was difficult to spot due to fact that we couldn't see the crack. It cost him $800 for a fresh intake.

I put fresh cardboard under the car in the garage. I will check in a couple of days and see if I can find the leak.

Maybe you'll get lucky, and my guess is correct.
