I am in the middle of Kansas after completing Route 66 and on our way home. I adjusted the telescopic column after wife was driving. I think what happened is the harness was not slack enough and it pulled the little turn signal switch out of the big white plastic piece. All the pieces are there but I need a pic of how the metal S metal piece fits inside. Car is 66 with tele.

Any stories your wife and you can regale about your journey on Route 66 in a '66 Corvette? Sounds like a real American adventure.Mark Edmondson

Re: Need help right away
We left Cincinnati, drove to Chicago and had breakfast at Lou Mitchell's. From the start sign we drove the entire available two lane with every alignment that the maps showed. Every day was great and we made it all the way to the pier. After two of the best tasting beers and a pizza, we are headed back. Life couldn't be better. She enjoyed it as much as I did.- Top

Re: Need help right away
Thanks guys, it was a terrific adventure. Five thousand miles and the only problem was on one of the unpaved sections the adjustment nut on shifter linkage came loose and we were in two gears at once. Fortunately the nut was still on the rod and we handled that in a parking lot. Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE looking at the Top Flight cars, but driving these cars is even better and best when your wife is driving with a smile on her face.- Top
