    Carpet Cut-Outs for Seats

While searching this topic, I read through a lot of threads but it still isn't clear to me if/how to cut the carpet for the rear seat mounts on a 1970.

Some threads imply the rear seat mounts just sit on top of the carpet with no cuts, but I'm not sure. The JG only says: "A cut-out flap running back to front covers the seat runner and attaching bolts." (Pg. 13.) But is this referring to the front and rear seat mounts?

1970-72 rear seat mounts sit on top of the carpet. There is nothing to cut out for them.

          Thanks Alan!

I saw another thread showing this same cut-out pattern for the front seat mounts, so rest assured yours is not atypical.

I assume your rear seat mounts are sitting on top of the carpet as Terry suggests? It's the rear mounts I was uncertain about when I posted.

            Hi Mark,
Yes, the rear feet sit ON the carpet.
            Regards,
            Alan
