Yes Rick it's quite story albeit a long one with tons of photos. Would be great for "The Restorer" Vinnie except probably too long of an article.

Hmmm...They are probably being recreated at the present moment Rick...check back in 6 months for the unveiling ceremony.

Interesting story.

Although unrelated, this reminded me of a guy I worked with in the '80s who claimed he once ordered a new '63 Corvette with the desirable 409 engine option.

"Really? I'd like to see it" I said.
"I wrecked it at Sebring when Carroll Shelby's Hemi-powered Cobra cut me off."

It goes to show you that there are some rare cars out there.
