    69 battery cables

I have a 69 coupe build date C04. I am up to the part on my restore of installing the positive battery cable. I am not sure if I need the top post cable or side mount. My AIM appears to show side mount but is a early model top post. Vin#194379S703636. Trying to stay original for later possible judging.
    Thank You in advance.

My SWAG is you need a top terminal, but your copy of the 1968-69 TIM&JG will tell you the approximate change point from top terminal to side terminal. I wouldn't want to guess at that figure and you shouldn't either. Look it up and be right.

Thanks Terry, I forgot about the TIM&JG. I will check it out now.

Yup, TIM&JG mentions top post up until about SN 22,081. Also shows color of brackets. I wonder if you can get a Delco top post battery to simulate original.

I checked with Antique Batteries in Youngstown Ohio. They duplicate the type battery for vintage type cars. Battery was $260. I will know check Restoration Battery. Thanks for the tip.
