    As far as the headers are concerned, I was led to believe that the ZZ5 exhaust ports didn't quite line up with the openings on the stock cast iron manifolds otherwise I have no problem using them.
    I'll look into the port alignment issue to see if port misalignment is consequential.

    I THINK you can use standard cast iron manifolds with the "fast burn" heads installed on the ZZ5 if you also use Fel-Pro gaskets #1470. These may require a very slight trim.

      Joe,

      I'll pick up a set of Fel-Pro #1470 and once I take the motor out and the get my hands on the exhaust manifolds I'll trial fit them on the ZZ5. Using the original exhaust manifolds would save me a considerable amount of time, money and aggravation.
