Should I use the square shims/washers or the "fork" type shims to level my '67 coupe?

Re: '67 body shims
I could be wrong here (certainly wouldn't be the first time) but I believe all body shims are the square type with a hole in the middle. The "fork" type shims are used for front end alignment. Even though not correct for the rear alignment in '67, many use the "fork" type on the rear, as well, as they're much easier to install.Leif

The fork-type shims are only used at the radiator support-to-frame location (and were originally welded), and they're different than the fork-type shims used for alignment on the upper control arm shaft-to-frame attachment. All of the other mount locations (from the #1 mounts at the base of the firewall rearward) use the square shims.- Top
