So... as I understand it the 68(possibly early 69?) L36 cars used small tower clamps rather than spring clamps on the hose connections for the fuel return line. Were these clamps used only on the small length of hose than joins the fuel filter to the metal line that runs parallel to the fuel filter or were they also used on the length of hose than joins the fuel line on the frame to the metal line that runs parallel to the fuel filter? Thanks, Doug

Re: fuel return line clamps
I'll try to answer your questions speaking for '68 only -
At the top of the fuel filter where the vent hose attaches there are 2 small tower clamps. There are also 2 small tower clamps that hold the fuel line hose to the fuel pump. Back at the gas tank, the fuel hose connection is made by 2 small tower clamps, too.
The only place where spring squeeze clamps are used is the vent line. Be sure the ends are squared off and not rounded if you plan to have the car judged. The exception to the spring clamps use on vent line hoses is the top of the fuel filter vent hose, as earlier mentioned.Terry Buchanan
