    '67 body mounts

Can you level/adjust a C2 coupe body by varying the torque values on the body mount bolts? I hear torque values ranging from 25 ft-lbs to 55 ft-lbs???

I am no mechanical engineer but if you leave a bolt loose it will cause premature failure of the bolt. You level the body by using shims. I would torque the bolts to what the AIM calls out for

        Bruce,
If it's a front to back issue, I removed shims from the front to the back to balance the amount of shims when there were to many at the core support. They can also be moved side to side, but the spacing MUST be correct. I teetered my 67 when I had to many shims at the core and added shims to the rear where they didn't exceed the limits.
