My upper a/c flex duct was in bad shape. How do you get the cable through it and out without tearing up the flex duct? Tips please!! Does the cable need to be installed first or the hose? I'm assuming the cable exits the flex hose just above where the hose attaches to the distribution box.

Re: How is the best way to replace the upper left a/c flex hose with pull cable c2
on my 65 when I dissected what was left of the original duct hose mine had been slotted (cut) from the end to just where it passed the deflector inlet so I took my air grinder and slotted my new replacement duct hose from L.I. and after I manipulated this in place with the pull cable end exiting the slot and coming thru the dash where I installed the hex nut and pull cable knob, I gently wrapped a piece of hd black duct tape (I made about a 1" wide strip around the end of the duct hose) that installed over the deflector outlet to insure that this duct hose stayed put. My original hose did not have tape here but that's what I did. If you need any further help email me and I will draw out a picture...- Top

Not sure if I can give you any tips. But I will say that was one of the worst jobs I had to do when putting my dads 67 AC car back together. Just be patient- Top
