When I restored my 67 seats 15 years ago, the repro seat foam on the market were higher density foam that had a more solid structure to it than the original seat foam. I thought this was great. The original seat foam looks so "broken down". So, I used the new seat foam and the seats turned out beautiful - until I went sit in the car and found I was sitting higher in the seat than felt comfortable. The seat felt "stuffed" and I was looking toward the front through the upper windshield. So, out came the new foam. I located and installed some good condition original foam and the seats were back to what I consider the original seating position. Just a thought for you to consider when installing new seat foam. And, I have not checked, but it may be the latest replacement seat foam is much more like original.
