1958 Exhaust - Cross Over or Not

Need to order the exhaust for the 58.

245hp/4spd, hyd cam / dual quad - does it use the crossover header pipe or not. Once again - coming across conflicting information.

Mufflers - can I use the round (like the sound) or must I go with the ovals? Car will be judged.

No crossover and oval mufflers.

In case your interested, I lost 1 point for having crossover pipes on my 1960 at the 2013 Nationals.

No cross-over and oval mufflers. In the 61-62 new manual chassis section. Dave Heitzman is helping to re write the 58-60 judging manual. I was at a meet with Dave and asked the very question. Stay tuned, because there is a lot of stuff going into the new manual. A good reference is the 61-62 manual.
