I'd be curious to see the tail stock. I think early T-10 did not have any suffix

What's the assembly code on the driver's side rear of the main case?

I found "WL2272" on the end of the main case on the drivers side.

Irregardless of the missing "1", I'll call this an early '58 T-10.

According to Corvette by the Numbers WL2272 would be a Nov 57 second shift. In the book it appears that 'L' is Nov? not sure on that one. Again the T10 without the one sounds like a very early T-10.

An "early" T-10 would be one cast in the Fall of 1956 - with an agreeable assembly stamp, main case date and tailshaft date, this is an early
1958 transmission built as a unit and one that did not properly get presented for a main case casting #.
