'57 conv top bow straps

I need to add convertible top bow straps to my '57, which has never had them in the 30 years that I've owned the car. I haven't been able to find a clear picture of where exactly they go, or how they are attached. I would appreciate it if someone could point me to a resource, or perhaps post a picture of theirs.

If you have the latest copy of the 56-57 judging guide, on page 26 there is a pretty good description of the hold up straps and how they attach.
Your rear bow should have threaded holes for attaching them.
When I bought my '57 twenty two years ago there were no hold up straps. I think over the years the previous owners of these early C1s decided not to mess with them.

I just want to say thank you to David, Art, and John. The information and pictures were very helpful. I ran out of time, and didn't get the straps installed on my car before to was time to go off to the National here in Denver, but they'll be on there the next time the car is judged. (Hopefully, long before that.) Thanks again!
