    David,

Probably one of the easiest jobs on these cars if the bolts aren't seized. Pull the two bolts in the front, slide the seat towards the steering wheel and it's out! Be careful not to scratch anything with the seat tracks on your way out!

Joe, Only the front two bolts need to be removed?
I have always removed all four bolts and lifted the seats out.
Will the seats just slide back onto the track and into place?

Joe is correct. The tracks simply slide into the rear brackets. No need to remove them.

Is that the same for 66 and 67 seats?
Just removed the seats yesterday on my 67 to fix the seat adjuster spring. Took all four bolts out. Never occurred to me to just remove the front two and slide it out.

Thanks George, Are you certain? LIC catalog shows four attaching bolts, years 64-66.

while you have the seats out, you should swap left to right. I weigh about 80 pounds more than my wife...one seat obviously takes alot more wear and tear. Most of the time, I am the only one in the car.

                    David -

'64-'66 used two bolts at the front, and the slider brackets at the back with no bolts. Design changed in '67 to separate seat tracks with two bolts each to the seat frame, and 2 bolts each (1 front, 1 rear) to the floor.
