Speedometer cable installation

I am installing speedometer cable after refurbishing instrument panel. AIM shows cable going streight through firewall where I have an access cut in the firwall insulation and a plastic plug on engine side firewall. Wanted to make sure all engine sizes go through this access and do not exit where Tach and Oil pressure line exit.

The speedo cable routing shown in UPC 12 is for a 3-speed manual, which had the speedo drive on the driver's side of the transmission (every part shown in UPC 0 through UPC 14 is for a "base car" with ZERO options; all option parts are shown in the RPO Section of the A.I.M.). Cable routing for a 4-speed is shown in the Option section, M20, and it's different than the 3-speed, as the speedo drive on a 4-speed is on the passenger side of the transmission.
