    T-Top sealer.Any recommendations?

Any thoughts on a suitable material to replace the gray gunk under the T -Top trim pieces? I was going to either use the standard 3M Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer part 08612 or see if the loacal plumbing supply house had some plumbers's putty to use. I would have no issue using the 3M Ribbon Sealer except the stuff that the original stuff that is already in there seems a little dryer, more dense and less pliable that the 3M stuff. In the back of my head I'm worrying about coming back out to my car on a hot day and seeing stuff oozing out all over the interior.

Scott, 3M strip chalk works ,its non hardening and won't drip from heat, I also heard that that Home Depot or Lowes sells a gray colored chalk. maybe someone else will chime in on this.

Grey caulk on a roll is what I used! No problems here in the Arizona desert.

        Hi,
I believe the gray colored caulk that Lowes, etc. offers is under the Mortite/Frost King brand name. It's generally in the same area as the door/widow weatherstriping and seals.
It seems very similar to the 3M strip caulk, but perhaps not quite as sticky.
        Regards,
        Alan

Scott I used 3M strip caulk when I replaced the front piece and the area you have shown in pictures. I did this on my 1970 in 1989 and still have no problems with the 3M strip caulk used.
