Is it possible that a late June '65 car could have wiper refills with no dots, only lines ,like a '66 car,and still have trico correct ,shiny,holders?thanks,Jamie

anything is possible, but improbable. Wiper blades were plentiful at the factory. June is too early to run out of product.

It would be more realistic to see big dot 65 blades on the first off 66 cars. GM had a habit of using what they had if all was anything like the new stuff.

Guys,does anyone know if there has been an update in the 65 judging manual regarding 66-67 wiper blades refills possibly being installed in a late 65 car?

Jamie - The 1966 TIM&JG states in the "Wiper blade holder & inserts" section that "Very early cars may have a bright chrome finish." Recognizing that carry over 1965 parts could have come on very early 1966s & in fact we have seen a number of very early 1966s with 1965 parts. If a very early 1966 Corvette is being judged & it has the bright chrome finish flat top TRiCO holders we expect the refills/inserts to also be the TRICO brand & configuration with the "dots" not the 3 ribs because the windshield wiper blades were delivered to the Production plant as wiper blade assemblies, as shown in the AIMs, not as separate pieces.
