    Fan clutch '66 small block

    Hi,
I removed my '66 small block fan clutch for rebuilding, it's leaking oil and spinning too freely.
The car is a very original 37,000-mile 1966 Corvette small block and to my knowledge, the fan clutch (or hardly anything else) has ever been taken apart. I'm hoping to eventually take it for National Judging, so having it "correct" is important to me, but I also want to preserve the originality of this car.
The fan clutch appears to meet all NCRS latest 1966 Judging Manual specs for a Schwitzer Corp. fan clutch, including silver paint up to the where the shaft step begins, the Patented in Canada in 1961 patent date, etc.
But, here's the weird part...the markings on the shaft flange begin with a Ford logo, then C7AE-A7170SC
Would Schwitzer send a Ford labeled part to GM?

Thanks for any advice or help identifying this fan clutch. I would also appreciate your opinion if I should rebuild this one (because I believe it to be original to the car) or look for another one, without a Ford logo?
One more thought, I might be able to polish out the Ford logo, but are "C7AE" Ford part numbers?
I believe the rest of the numbers are the date code, but that would be too late if the date decodes as 07-01-1970?
