    correct color oil pan

I would like to repaint my oil pan, but not sure what is the correct color and what company makes it. I would appreciate it if someone would knows where I can get a can of it. Thank you

Dupli-Color DE1620 Chevrolet Orange Engine Paint in 12 oz can from OReilly's has worked well for me.

    Note
there are a couple other shades of Dupli Color Chevy Orange paint, including one called Orange Red Chevrolet Engine Paint. You should evaluate the shade of your engine and try to choose the shade of Chevy Orange engine paint that most closely matches. I like the 1620.

Right, it's the same color as the engine- Chevrolet Orange.

Good point; you what they say about assumptions...

Is it safe to say that for any year, the oil pan is the same color as the engine block?

For all practical purposes, yes. However, in the 63 years of Corvette history, there has been ONE exception. The exception? 1969 ZL-1. The engine block was natural aluminum; the oil pan and timing cover were painted BLACK.

There you go Morris- Same color as the block unless you have the ZL-1. If the latter, please post photos!

The Dupli- Color Red /Orange is # 1607 , I think that works for C-2s prior to 67 engines .
