If by "Cranky", you mean Mike Hanson who comments on the TDB, the original owner of this car was a different Mike Hanson who lived in Hyattsville, MD at the time we built this car. I believe he lives in Hagerstown, MD now, and he was never a cranky person. Thanks for posting the picture. It really brings back some old memories. Despite the big block hood and the slightly simplified paint design, I recognized this car immediately as the B production small block SCCA car that I and several others helped Mike Hanson build in 1975 and race for several seasons at Summit Point, WVA. I have a couple of pictures and a poster of this car in its B/P days I would give the current owner if he does not already have duplicates from Mike Hanson.

Someone in the crowd yelled that you were coming so...they left, along with the owners and spectators.

Nice show, great venue. They need to work out logistics for entry and vendor location otherwise I liked it a lot.
The rain was brief and I wish I could bring it home to Los Angeles. 65 collection was a good one. Next year 66's.
Saw many good friends and some good cars.

I spoke to a lot of the car owners. They said for an extra $ 100. Per car they could have had a circus tent to keep the cars under cover. The majority said that St.Charles was much better. Also heard that " Gold Pass members were not treated like the past. Again, these were comments from participants .

I think that once the kinks gets worked out, the show will be hugely successful.

I would liked to have seen the Gold Year 65s display in a better spot. After driving past on the way in to park, we only saw them a second time because we happened to stroll by them. Placing them indoors like the Special Collection, or even next to the judging field seems like a better location.

                          Re: Bloomie 2015 at Indy??

My first day of arrival, looking for judges parking, a nice yellow-shirted official offered to be my lead and direct me to judges parking. thereafter, he rode me to the area where our first meeting was to occur...in the general vicinity. Very nice and appreciated gesture on his part. But after that it was a challenge to figure out where the corresponding events from last year where being staged this year...it is a vast complex and the overview map gets one to the single-entry point.

My suggestion is that a judging plaza layout schematic also be available that directs participants to the various venues within the infield. I don't mind walking so the exploration and adventure was not unbearable since I had time to vent. If BG planners wish to really overwhelm attendees with a demonstration of organizational ability, sign posts, (street signs) would be erected with fixed banners pointing to the various venues from the point of entry through to the judging plaza, members Gold party, etc. This comes from the Indy cultural trail play book that is an eight mile loop around the interior of the city and directs pedestrians and bicyclists around the city to its cultural venues.

I'll insert a photo when I get off wireless and can upload an image

I was there for the first time and had my car judged. Overall, it was a good experience and from the beginning, I was directly guided to the trailer parking area. I arrived early, so not much madness to deal with. The judging was fair and the judges were very professional. Too bad the weather was not better, but I was one of those that took my plastic cover with me. I thought the garage rental was an awesome option. More importantly, it was nice bringing home the "Gold" to Florida.
