TV Cable on 84 Crossfire

Does the TV cable have to be ajusted if the intake was never removed from the car? Do these cables need to be adjusted as part of regular maintance?

Walter, the adjust is a easy ordeal , Just push the button on the top of cable and re-track the inner sleeve all the way in and then go inside the car and slam the accelerator pedal to floor quickly and you'll hear the cable extend to its correct position.
