That was my reaction as well. I realize it was modified in 1969, however, even then I do not believe I would have liked it. You think any of the talented NCRS restorers could return it to "original"/TFP condition??

I don't think it would be feasable financially. It would require an entire donor car to eliminate the chop. Strange thing is, although the car is a real abortion, I kinda like the chop. If it were mine, I'd get rid of all the "gee-gaws" and return everything else close to stock and keep the chop! Sure would be a conversation starter!

Interesting thought Dennis, about returning everything to stock except for the chop. The car might have a rather streamlined look about it. Anyway, I suspected as you pointed out, that it would not really be financially feasible to return the car to stock condition. Too bad; especially if it was a "real" big block car to start with...

But it was "tastefully modified", as the C5 &C6 owners would say.

The fender wheel well openings & hood scoop are kinda awkward at best. What about the beautiful front mud flaps? Interior is just plain gross. Body color sucks. Side pipes with big ribs, what's with that? Typical of 60's and 70's customs. yuck

I don't care for it. But rest assured someone will buy it..........

Gives a whole new meaning to the term "added taillights"....Sweet Jesus... that is one heinous turd. Not sure the guy who did that to that car would have passed a drug test the evening he started drawing that one out...What a shame...but a LOT of work went into butchering that car. At the end of the day, a nose and rear clip is all that you need exterior-wise to make it at least "presentable". Like Leif, I threw up a little in my mouth too when I saw it....Yowza...>ARA

If a NCRS guy buy's it I would suggest taking it to a chapter meet before going to the regionals. Would it be 1 point a hole for all the extra tail lights? LOL

The extra tail lights was a 60s thing for sure . I don't remember who said it , or if it was from a song or a movie , but i still remember the line about a custom car that states ......

......with 47 tail lights that spell out the words Cool It , when I step on the brakes !
