Removal of 65' 'hockey sticks' on seat sides

Hello; I would like to change the original hockey sticks, which are on either side of my seats, for new ones from L.I Corvette.

The problem facing me is the lowest screw; (down by the carpet) seems like an impossible access for the screwdriver without removing the seats. Any tricks to getting this done without having to remove the seats ? Thanks in advance.

the seats are only held on by four bolts and can be removed in less then five minuets. I see no reason not to remove them

I would remove the seats, don't forget to vacuum and pickup the spare change.

I'm sorry, but when did this become a problem area?

I did my 67. Much easier with the seats out.

The only problem I had was guiding the seat tracks carefully so that door panels or body paint doesn't get scratched by them. I did put a scratch in the quarter panel trim after installation that I had to touch-up! The seats aren't heavy, just cumbersome to maneuver.

A set of 4 reproductions is about $225. For that price you may want to think about replating your originals.
