    Testing an STV valve- 66 Vette

    After I rebuild my stv valve, Is there anyway to test the stv valve for leaks before installation? Dutch

      Harry, I'm sure there is but I don't have a shop. I assume the new diaphragm is good and when I do the vacuum test for two hours, if it holds vacuum constant it must be good. Just use R12 or R134 oil when you install the O-rings, just don't tighten too much.
