L79 vs Buick Stage 1
What happened to the thread about a proposed race between an L79 mid year and a Buick Gran Sport Stage1? Did it happen or was it just bench racing and bs? Let's have a race. Does anybody else remember when Bill aka "Grumpy" Jenkins beat hemis and such with his '66 L79 Nova "Grumpy's Toy"? Rules allowed a lot of not showroom features: cam, manifold ,removing all insulation sound deadner, etc. but same for both cars; so apples to apples showing an L79 is fast and can beat a car with more cubes.
