      Straight from Jerry's website:

When a phone caller asks me to diagnose a problem in his FI unit, I always give him the same initial advice: "First, don't take the unit apart". I say that because many fuel injection problems are actually in the ignition system. There's usually something significant that must be addressed beyond replacing the points, rotor, cap, and condenser with new parts.

Bruce, Define TI distributor more. Are you using TI, Delco Remy from old days, the one wire from Lectric Limited or M&H? John

Joe, I still continue to have mis firing problems after a few runs to red line. Don,t know what a heat sink problem is? is. Can you define it for me? Tried some ac 44 plugs. That was worse only got two runs and it began to mis fire. Could this be a result of too much advance. I have it set at 16BTDC as per Jerry's instruction, However my car does not have a duntov cam. It has some kind of Hydraulic cam.Could that be making the difference? Do appreciate your help. I am now on my 12th set of plugs.

            thanks,
            Bruce

Jerry Bramlets work is perfect as he actually runs the unit and produces a tape sent with the unit. I would call Jerry and look to his experience in dealing with the heat soak problem.
He has more experience with FI than this entire board combined.

He probably means the insulators... sounds like an overly rich mixture.

As suggested check the CSV. Talk to Jerry. You might need to run it on a local chassis dyno. Set the power stop to achieve no leaner than 13.5:1 and no richer than 12.5:1 at the top of the rev range.

                Re: high rpm miss fire.

Hey Guys for what it is worth my high RPM miss fire is solved. car takes a 107 coil which you can't find. I ordered a GM replacement. Tim Mickey advised me that these coils leak sometimes when they get hot. well I listened to Tim took a 107 coil from my 57 and bingo, car runs perfect even when hot. Thought I would pass this on since this is not so easy to diagnose. my plugs weren't fouling the coil wasn't producing enough spark when hot.
