WNY NCRS Chapter Judging Meet - June 5,2015

P1080091.jpgP1080078.jpgP1080081.jpgP1080069.jpgArrived early in Canandaigua, from Niagara, with my friend Tom Spence, and enjoy the Day in the Finger Lakes Region
There were 3 C1's and 4 C2's to be Judged that day... It was a long & grewling day, like about 8 Hours of Judging.
All the Vettes had interesting and beautiful features, and had a uniqueness, all onto themselves.....
But... I saw a little problem.... The Judging Fee was only $35.00, for 8 Hours of work. I believe this is a paltry am't,
and feel that anyone who would like their Vette Judged, should pay at least $100.00....to the Chapter doing the Work.

    What do you think....?

Sam, Seeing that I am the WNY Chairperson and my husband Gene is Judging Chair, I would like to set the record straight. We have had our charges since inception of our Chapter in 1990. The cost for a family registration is $20, and additional fee for car judging fee of $25, and $15 for Sportsman. So if an individual comes to have his car judge it is $45, to display Sportsman $35, and to participate judge $20. Included for owners and judges is a fabulous lunch from Wegman's which cannot be beat. When finished we always seem to make some profit and we feel there is no need to raise the price. We are incredibly lucky to be guests of Farnsworth Chevrolet and everything seems to work for us. Happy you enjoyed your day in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York. It is a fabulous area to visit.
    Susan

Chapter Meet judging is one of the best values going! Here at our IN Chapter meets, we typically get many judges who are 200+ point level. If anything, our problem is that we don't have enough personnel come to form complete judging teams in all areas. Last April, I judged 63-67 exterior by myself. Another judge did 63-67 mechanical solo; fortunately, our Regional Director (who comes to all of our meets) was there to leapfrog back and forth, assisting both of us.

I believe our chapter level registration and judging fees are well in line. If anything, a smaller limit on judged car quantity would help us.

Charging judges to judge? The car owners should pickup those fee's JMHO.

The judging fee is very reasonable as Sam mentions. To have a complete APPRAISAL of correctness of your car for $25 is a real bargain. By being an NCRS member we are able to learn from fellow members with greater experience.
