This is a genuine AC radiator cap and it's functionally correct for many 66-72 Corvettes with copper/brass radiators. However, it's not configurationally correct for any. This cap has the small "ears" and stainless steel shell which came into use about 1973 for PRODUCTION and earlier SERVICE caps.

I would not discard it, though. It could be used "on the road" for any of the above-referenced applications and replaced with a reproduction only for "judged" events. I always prefer an AC cap to any reproduction or restored cap for regular use.

I'd use it in a second for daily driving, and keep the correct one for show.

I found this cap last year for $1 at a swap meet. Based on my research it is correct for my 1970 Camaro SS long term project.
