    1994 Glass Rear Window ReGlue

Has anyone had to deal with the glass rear window in a convertible coming unglued from top and gluing it back in? I found several videos, etc. on Utube but none seemed to be a very quality job. I did order some "3M adhesive 08609 Window Weld" and primer for the job. But if anyone has any experience or tips they would like to share. Thanks.

Re: 1994 Glass Rear Window ReGlue

I've heard of people re-gluing their rear glass window using strong, flat magnets on the inside and outside of the seam to hold it together while the glue dries. I suppose one could use blue paint tape to hold the glass in place along the seam perimeter, while you re-glue, inches at a time, until the entire seam is re-glued.

When I got my '94 Vert. - the top had completely come loose and the original soft top was in sad shape. I pulled the original glass and sent it to Al Knoch and they re-attached my original glass to a brand new soft top. Cost me about $100 extra for the service, but I kept my original glass with date codes, logos, etc.
