Considering other exterior color 66's also had silver interiors, indicates a significant # of the code #986 Silver Corvettes DID NOT have a matching silver interior. Must admit it really is a great looking interior color!

For what it's worth.....I was told by a previous dealer who ordered my 66 roadster, silver interior that it was an option to either order a black or silver dash pad to accompany the silver interior.

Nope, not possible. There was no such thing as a silver dash pad - couldn't order what didn't exist.

Richard I own a 65 with silver pearl and silver interior.
trim pillars are also silver.

Thanks for the reply.
All the other responses have pretty much settled it all.
Only thing I am still not completely sure about is the radio side panels. They appear black, but some confirmation would be good.
Other than that, I am good, and just waiting for parts.

Bryan,

A girlfriend of mine has a silver/silver '66 B/B Coupe that had the interior changed to black years ago. She's planning to restore it back to silver in the near future and I have been trying to gather info and pics to help her out with that project.

There are already some good photos in this thread, but it would be great if you could share some other views as well. I haven't run across many silver/silver cars in the last few decades so any details would be very helpful!
