1979 Catalytic Converter

Hi All,

I have found a NOS Catalytic Converter : 8999035

Can i use this for My L48 engine or must i find the 6498393 Converter ????

Converter GM #8999035 is applicable to 1980 Corvettes with 305 cid engine as well as all 1981 Corvettes. Could it be used on a 1979? I expect it could but I can't say so for sure. However, I do not know if it would be a "direct fit" or if some modification might be required.
