Trying to find a 6 volt replacement battery to install in my 54 driver. Can not find a replacement other than a restoration battery at $400. looking for a standard battery (no red, yellow, green, etc...)which I can purchase locally,

My local advance auto has one in stock for 130 bucks. I'm sure your local parts house should have one or can get you one. I would also try a fram or tractor store -

NAPA and Tractor Supply have 6 Volt batteries here in northern California. Similar businesses around the country ought to have them also.

Do what I do. Go in with the exact part number and tell them to get it for you.
In the case of a 6 Volt battery you want part number BAT7244
