    1970 Wiper Motor 3 Port Washer ? 5044758

I have what I think is my original wiper motor on my 1970 with the correct part number 5044758 and date code (13 0 2A) but it has 3 ports. I guess it's possible that the port was changed out but has anyone seen this deviation? Thanks for any observations.

I see at least one hose that originally went to the five port.

Assuming that any were ever made with 3 port, they would have had a different part number than the 5044758 which was the PRODUCTION part number for the motor equipped with a 5 port pump.

Much more likely, the original pump was replaced with a 3 port pump which was available in SERVICE long after the 5 port went away.

Do you have washer nozzles on your headlight bezels? Are there extra hoses under your headlights (that would have attached to nozzles)? I agree with previous posters that your 5-port has been replaced, and suggest you look at the items that I mentioned to help convince yourself of that.

Thanks for the insights. It was definitely a 5 port that was replaced by a 3. My mystery solved....... Much appreciated.
