    Steve,
Here are some without the air cleaner. I have the wire hid in between the vacuum lines for neatness.

      Thanks Jimmy,
Best 73 engine photos I've seen in a long time. Nice job on the resto.
For the TSC wire, there is a plastic tab that snaps into the hole in the valve cover tab. It accepts the wire. You may have it hidden by the hoses.
I see that you have the locking tab for the EGR bracket. Most have that missing.
It would be interesting to get more comments.

I'd comment if Jimmy was interested, but only if he asks, other than to say he's done a very good job.

          Re: 73 Engine Restoration Complete

          Thanks Steve,
I appreciate it very much, especially coming from another 73 owner. You members know how much hard work, patience and of course $$$ it takes to get these classics back to their original condition. The plastic tabs you are looking for are missing on the left side. They are present on the drivers side as original. They are also on my list of needed items along with the egr vacuum hose clamps, as I mentioned in my earlier thread. Yes, I was very lucky to find the correct EGR valve along with the mounting bracket and locking tab all together. It came out of Missouri, all I did was carefully clean it, repaint the bracket and used satin spray clear on the valve to keep it from rusting. I wanted to keep as much of the original cad finish as possible.
I'm starting on the interior now. If you've followed me on the forum you know that I just replaced the door ajar switches and now have the alarm and door ajar light working properly. Next, I need to get the ebrake dash light to work. (My handle was replaced by a previous owner, so I don't know if they connected the wire up or not. Haven't taken the console apart yet. Also, my seatbelts were replaced and that warning buzzer/light isn't working either.(This will be an expensive fix I started checkingon belt prices.) I haven't taken the seats up to see what's going on with the switches yet. All in good time!

A correct EGR for a 73, 4 speed with the ball park date code is near impossible to find. I think there was only about 4000 4 speeds in 73 so it is not much to work with.

Their was another 8833 standard 4 speeds not in the black book as they were not an option. So 12,537 4-speeds were installed in 73's

                Re: 73 Engine Restoration Complete

Lyle, can you elaborate on the 4K 4 spds that were not an option?
                According to Toms 73 spot,

"Four thousand serial numbers for the '73 model year were never built. The last Corvette built for '73 ends with 34,464 but production only totaled 30,464. The missing numbers are VIN 24,001 through 28,000. What happened to them? No one knows. Or if they do they are not speaking."

Is this the 4K you are referencing?

Black Book says 25,521 coupes 4943 convertibles total 30,464 made, also 17927 were automatics leaves 12.537 four speeds of which 3704 were close ratio an option. that leaves 8833 4 speeds std ratio which was on all cars not having an optional transmission, A fact few know about,

                    thanks Lyle,
That means that about 8833/12months(or less) = 700 or 800 EGR valves were built that would have approx the right date code to get back to Jimmys engine.
