1969 Flexible Brake Line Clips

I am starting to reassemble the rolling frame of a 1969 convertible. My question is what was the finish on the flat clips that hold the flexible hoses to the frame (Part # 476737). The ones that I removed were rusty and seemed to be black oxide. Most of the new clips are silver/gold. Does anyone know the original finish? Thanks for any information. Steve

Steve, the ones on my 72 are black phosphate.Some times these clips can be had at the local Parts store. I am not sure that a chassis judge would even give you a deduct and something like this and its likely not worth a point, maybe a Dot situation.

Thanks for the feed back. The clips are not mentioned in the TIM&JT but while at it I might as well put it back like it was. Noticed that you have a 02 Z06 Electron Blue. What an awesome car! Steve
