    1969 350/350HP motor restoration

I wanted to share a picture of my motor restoration. It is fairly complete and ready to install at our chapter's tech session next Saturday. A big thanks to Duke Williams for all the advice, and to Joe Lucia for answering many of my questions. (please ignore the kink in the A.I.R. hose, one of a handful of minor tweaks needed)

        Hi Peter,
I think Chevrolet engines from that era can be quite beautiful, and yours certainly is.
Very nice work showing in that picture!
        Regards,
        Alan

          Hi Alan,

I do love the details on these old motors. I think I am in the minority (of corvette enthusiasts) that think the A.I.R. equipment look good. When I was new to the hobby, I thought it looked busy and terrible. But, as I've learned its function and the engineering behind it, I've really come to appreciate it.

          Peter

A word of advise --- take as much of the stuff off of the motor before you and the chapter guys install it this weekend at the "Nuts and Bolts". Sorry I cant make it to help

              Hi Jimmy,

Yes, in fact that'll be the very first task for the engine prep group is disassembly. I wanted to make sure every part lined up correctly (pulleys, brackets, etc.). I did run into an issue with an aftermarket ignition coil bracket from Zip. The angle is wrong causing interference with the air cleaner base.

I'm sorry you can't make it as well, your knowledge would've been great to have there.
