65 exhaust manifold

The exhaust manifold on my 65 is showing a little rust. What do you recommend to clean it up and keep it looking like new.

If it's showing a little rust, it IS "like new".

Hi Steve,

Please tell us a little more about your goals for the car (driver, bowtie, flight judging, etc.). One option is to send it to Jerry MacNeish. He will apply a thin coating of aluminum to the outside so it will not rust again. Then you paint them. He supplies high temperature paint, I believe the color is cast blast gray or something like that. Or you can paint them with whatever amount of Chevy orange you like (from overspray to full orange). Macneish does great work, but don't expect the part back soon. He is very busy . I sent him intake manifolds , two different manifolds , two different times in the last 8 months . Each time it took over two months to get them back. They turned out perfect .
