I am charging my system with r-12. I stopped the charge at 2.6 lbs because there were no sign of bubbles in the sight glass, should I continue to charge until I reach 3.4 lbs? And what does it do for my system to adjust the stv valve(low side) down to 30psi? Need some a/c experts. Thanks, Dutch

I'd fill the system to spec and see how well it cools, really the bubble method is more for systems that don't have a exact capacity spec. You can adjust the low side down as low as youd like but if you go too low you'll get evaporator freeze up.- Top

Are you talking about the sticky tape that goes around the sensing bulb from the expansion valve?- Top

Sorry, don't have a A/C car. Just going by past experience, 3-4 wraps should suffice. Hopefully someone else will have a pic for you.- Top
