I am doing a frame off on a 1969 350/350 convertible and have started to reassemble the frame components. I have the original shocks and they are in excellent condition. The shocks still had the faded labels attached to them. One had a clearly visible VS and a build date stamped on the bottom of 189 69. The other labels were not as clear. The other rear shocks had a build date of 251 69. The car build date is 10/10 or 283. I can not find VS and VR tags to replace them. The TM&JG calls for EK and EM labels for a 1969. I could make labels since I could use the legible one as an example. The TM&G has no discussion on dates for change from 1968 labels (VS and VG) to the EK and EM. My question is, should I just go on and use the EK and EM labels and not argue or use the existing label to make labels with only one example to use as my 'proof'. Thanks for any thoughts. Steve

Re: 1969 Shock Absorber Broadcast Code Stickers
I know this thread is a bit old, but I cannot find a vendor that is selling the correct labels (VR and VS). Anyone know if anyone is printing these? I am at that stage and have the EK and EM labels that all the vendors are still selling as correct.
Thanks
