    Towing

Hi folks: Both my wife and I are reduced to walking only short distances, her because of Multiple Sclerosis, and myself because I am 82 years old:blueangel:. We have power wheelchairs that we have used at some events, but we carry them in a Chrysler T&C (Sorry, won't fit in a Vette) and so we have to unload them outside the event. We have acquired a small lightweight trailer with a ramp door with room for both our chairs, that we could probably get past the entrance.

What I am looking for is information from anyone who has towed a trailer with their C4 Vette, such as weight, hitch info, mods made to the Vette such as spring & shock mods, etc.

We are hoping to make some of this summer's events as a participant instead of a spectator.

    Re: Towing

    Marty,

I don't have any personal experience towing with a C4, but I got a lot of interesting hits and photos when I Googled "1990 Corvette Trailer Hitch", including this thread with a photo at the Corvette Action Center:
The Corvette Action Center's Corvette Forum is one of the largest online Corvette clubs featuring discussion forums for the C8 Corvette, C7 Corvette, C6 Corvette, C5 Corvette, C4 Corvette, C3 Corvette, C2 Corvette, C1 Corvette and more.

It looks like Eckler's sells hitches for the C4 that can handle 2,000 pounds; see http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1984-1996.html

You're truly an inspiration. I hope I'm as active in the hobby when I'm in my 80s.

    Have fun at the shows!
