Where is oil pan part number?

I'm trying to id an BB oil pan I have which I believe is for a full size Chevrolet. Do the oil pan's have part numbers stamped anywhere. Believe it to be a mid 60's 396 pan.

    Thanks,

    Jack

Big block GM replacement pans are the only ones I've seen with stamped part numbers.

...and only some of those have the part number. Most do not.

A photo would possibly help us ID it. However, if the pan has a side oil drain, it's a non-Corvette oil pan. If it has a rear oil drain, somewhat off-set to one side, the chances are almost certain it's a Corvette oil pan.

There were several different Corvette big block oil pan part numbers used over the 1965-74 period and one SERVICE-only pan which is still available to this day (GM #14091356). However, there was really very little configurational difference between the pans.

I think there is only minor differences between a A-body oil pan and a B-body pan And later F-body and X-body pans. Pictures would help
