1955 rear leaf spring finish
Judging manual states the complete rear spring assembly was painted when assembled,(semi-gloss black). My 55 springs appeared not to have black paint on silver top spring coating. Just checking before applying black paint to all the springs, liners and bands. Thanks! Lynn

Hope all is well
Supposedly the top spring was silver - then supposedly the spring would get some overspray on it from black out....
I painted my entire assembly then installed.
